This session will explore structural, conceptual, and contextual dimensions for reading the Kitáb-i-Aqdas and understanding the nature and operation of Bahá’í law. As part of the session, some of the predominant ways in which Bahá’í law has been written and talked about will be challenged, and certain distinctive features of the legal dimensions of Bahá’u’lláh’s Revelation will be highlighted.
Roshan Danesh works, teaches, and researches in the areas of law and religion, constitutional law, Indigenous rights, and conflict resolution. Roshan completed his doctoral studies at Harvard Law School, and has published extensively in academic journals on Bahá’í law.
