Drawing on experiences in the dissertation work of a doctoral program, this presentation explores ways of drawing on the Revelation, and what has been described as a conceptual framework for action, in trying to contribute to the discourse on science education and community development. After some consideration of the notion of a conceptual framework, it examines a few elements of the literature on science education and implications of the conceptual framework.

EMILY LAMPLE has a PhD in Community Research and Action from Vanderbilt University. She currently serves at the Bahá’í National Center in the United States.
